The Pemberton Hotel’s centenary weekend
The Pemberton Hotel’s centenary weekend
The Pemberton Hotel’s centenary weekend marks 100 years since the hotel opened in April 1926, after its licence and building materials were moved from Greenbushes to Pemberton. The Pemberton Hotel was originally the Courthouse Hotel in Greenbushes, built in the early 1900s. In February 1926, approval was granted to transfer the licence to Pemberton, and the hotel was rebuilt using the transported materials. It officially opened in April 1926, becoming the town’s central social hub.
A centenary weekend in 2026 celebrates:
- 100 years of continuous operation
- The hotel’s role as a community meeting place
- Its evolution from a timber‑era pub to a modern accommodation and dining venue
- Its status as a local icon in the Southern Forests region.
What a Centenary Weekend Typically Includes: Heritage Displays & Storytelling; Live Music & Entertainment; Classic pub meals and Local Wines.
