Description

Leaning Marri features 6 small camp sites suitable for tents, small camper trailers and campervans. Camp fires are not permitted in these sites. There is also a large group camping area with picnic tables and a fire ring. All sites are shady and well protected from the wind. There is a toilet block and a large picnic shelter for all campers to share. Leaning Marri is not suitable for large caravans or large camper trailers/camper vans. See if you can spot the tree which gives Leaning Marri its name. Quite the character, its trunk has grown at a 30-degree angle before straightening out and heading for the sky. No pets are allowed. Campfires are usually permitted, in the provided fire ring at the large group camping area only, between April 15 and November 30 but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice. When fire restrictions are in place campfires must not be lit and any appliance powered by burning solid fuel must not be used. Always comply with any instructions at campgrounds and parks. Campers´ own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves and heaters can be used at any time, unless a total fire ban has been declared (see Department of Fire and Emergency Services). Bookings cannot be made. There is no guarantee of availability of camp sites and is on a first in, first served basis. Be prepared with an alternative place to stay in case there is no suitable site available. Park entry fees apply in D’Entrecasteaux National Park. Camping Fees apply - $7.50 per adult, concession & child rates available. Self-registration huts are at the entrance.
