| Watermark Kilns are different. They are 50s tobacco kilns converted to accommodation. The buildings are on the State Heritage Register, so you are surrounded by history the moment you move onto the gravel (yes gravel - you have to be a bit adventurous to find us). See our website for details. The Single Kiln and Bell Cottage are fairly conventional self-catering accommodation, but you will need to contact us to discuss the Double Kiln. It's great for groups or a couple of families.
We are right next to Schafer Hut on the Bibbulmun Track and our focus is on supporting walkers, although we do a terrific line in family holidays. Our involvement in The Karri Cup means that we know the forest tracks between Pemberton and Northcliffe very well and can support bike riders with maps and information. Prices are budget, but facilities are first class.
Tariffs from $35 per person (walker special) to $106 per couple. |

We are a farm of over 100 acres. We grow marron and Dexter Cattle. Our permaculture garden is open to guests who can supplement their meals with whatever is in season – Locals bring their overseas visitors to see the kangaroos grazing in late afternoon. Over 70 different bird species have been recorded on the property. Listing the botanical variation would be tedious. If you see something and want to know what it is in this world listed ‘hot spot’ ask us and we can probably identify it for you. If you want to find that elusive orchid, we probably know where it is.
Meals, especially marron meals, are available on request and we even have Tony Windberg, our own resident artist. See our website for more information.

Directions: Watermark Kilns are 12km North of Northcliffe signposted off Wheatley Coast Road
We live on the property so you can contact us at any time (well normal WST waking hours). Please do not use the map on this website. Go to www.watermarkkilns.com.au for a tweaked Google Map which IS accurate.
LATEST NEWS
August: Proper rain at last. Paddocks are green and providing enough feed for the cattle, although cold weather has slowed grass growth. Calving is underway and guests can expect to see newborns from now on.
Emus are still here in great numbers. Birds are beginning to display nesting behaviour. Male wrens are getting their brilliant blue breeding plumage and magpies are singing well into the night.. Ducks are enjoying the wet and so are the frogs,
Wildflowers are taking over from fungi as the dominant feature of the forest. Orchids are becoming more common and several understorey plants are in flower. If you follow your nose you can find the scented Boronia megastima The hens are still producing eggs (free to guests), but with less enthusiasm. Marron are also getting ready to breed. All we need is for the grass to take off..
Facilities also include Bibbulmun Track and other walk trails, bike trails, free drop-off and pick-up for walkers, meals by arrangement, pot-belly stove heating and UV sterilised rainwater, We are a TV free zone and mobile phone access is by good quality Telstra3G only.
